Imperial Palace - Covering a vast area within central Tokyo, the Imperial Palace and environs characterize the city's diversity. Nothing is more pleasant on weekends than a stroll around the East Garden of the palace. Beautifully kept grounds offer a refreshing respite from the buzz of the city and a pedestrian-only avenue is a favorite with joggers. Nearby is the Palace Cycling Course, where you can borrow a bicycle or bring your own. Further north in Suidobashi you'll find streets crowded with students drawn to the many schools and universities. This area is also home to Tokyo Dome and an adjoining amusement park. Within easy walking distance from there is Jinbocho with its numerous bookshops, many of which offer English titles.
